What can I expect when
working with
Oh Hello Petal floral pattern

Planning a wedding or event is something most of us only do a few times in our lives, so when enquiring with a new vendor, it would be helpful to know what to expect, right?

So here it is — plainly, simply, what to expect when working with Oh Hello Petal, what our process is like from enquiring, all the way to when the party is wrapping up in the wee hours of the morning.

Ball’s in your court, petal! Start the conversation with us by filling in the contact form, or scheduling a free discovery phone call.

Once we’ve confirmed our availability for your date, we’ll schedule a zero-charge phone call, and send through an online form. The form will give you a chance to share your heart ahead of our call — what the event will mean to you and your loved ones, a few inspiration images, ways we can be working together to make your event unforgettable.

Our phone call is a pretty gorgeous way to help us get to know each other better and it comes with absolutely no pressure and zero obligations. Here we’ll talk more in-depth about your vision, your budget, and the timeline we’re working to.

Then, we’ll go into our creative cave and craft a bespoke vision board for your event, which we’ll share via a Loom video message. The vision board will include the details you’ve shared, plus a few ideas of our own, which Ione will take you through in your video.

When you’ve watched our video explaining the creative direction we hope to head in together, you’ll hopefully know whether you want to work with us {or not!}

You’ll then be given the option to pay our Save The Date Booking Fee, and be welcomed into the Petal Party — or to part ways, with our heartfelt wishes for your event.

Once your Save The Date Booking Fee has landed, we’ll get to work on your detailed quote and design proposal, which will include an in-depth look at floral design, styling, any hire items, and more. Think of it as the next step in realising your mood board, where all the bobs, bells and whistles are outlined.

We’ll visit your venue to get a feel for the space together, then we’ll share creative visions, make revisions to your quote as needed, and then draft up a contract with our agreed upon spend for your event. We’ll all sign, then cheers to the beautiful event planning we have in our future.

From there we’ll work behind the scenes — with growers, suppliers, your venue, other vendors, and we’ll pop into your inbox more than a few times just to check-in and see how you’re tracking.

We’ll also cross our fingers SO tightly that we’re invited to be involved in any pre-event celebrations,  {styling your bach party/parties, leading you in a floral workshop, to name a couple!} coz celebrating with our clients is one of our favourite things to do!

About three weeks before your event we’ll schedule a catch-up to confirm logistics, make sure our numbers are correct — standard {but oh-so important} dotting of I’s and crossing of t’s.

Then it’s onto The Big Day!!!

Your personal flowers {bouquets, buttonholes, family corsages, etc} will be delivered to you either the night before or the morning of your wedding. Each item will be wrapped and hydrated.

Team Petal will then organise, floral and style our hearts out.

If you've booked us for
Day Of Co-ordination, we'll ensure that every last detail — third-party hired items, vendor timing, flipping the space, rogue wedding party members — are all taken care of, so you can relax and soak in the moment.

Once the event is done, leave the rest to us! We'll pack down and bump out once your event has concluded, or come back the next morning when the only thing left on the dancefloor is glitter.

Then maybe we'll see you the next day for the other event we create together as a finale : a recovery brunch! {Sounds fun, hey petal!?}
